Sean Burress - Master Guitarist/Bassist
Sean Burress, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, hails from the shores of Flathead Lake. Residing in Missoula since 2012, he continues to be a constant collaborator, working and performing both as a solo artist, and with several bands in Western Montana such as Red Onion Purple, Off in the Woods, Brute Finesse and Fitness Club. He began playing guitar at age 12 and is fluent in folk, rock, funk and finger-picking styles, with an ardent appreciation for jazz and hip-hop.
Never limiting himself to one mode of expression, Sean has worked to expand his creative horizons continually. He has provided original compositions and live scores for films at the Roxy Theater and with the Moksha Aerial Studio Collective (MASC) for their theatrical run of the original aerial ballet, Turn.

A genre chameleon, Sean enjoys blending his diverse musical appreciation into any role that a composition or improvisation needs. As a bassist and guitarist, he has had over 11 years of teaching experience. Sean will customize his curriculum to each student and design a program that will help them meet their own musical goals. Each lesson with Sean will combine elements of music theory and technique, and help the student take the next step towards using music to enrich their life.
